	We are an ensemble of singers and musicians who play for the joy of the music. Our first love is the Shona style music of Zimbabwe, Africa, but we also play music originating from around the world. Dance to our eclectic mix of African style music performed on hand-made marimbas: bass, baritone, tenor, and soprano, along with djembe and conga drums, and gourd shakers called hosho. We would love to perform at your next event. Let us share this amazing music with you! Friday, August 22nd Wood Vibes will perform at Irving Park (NE 7th and Fremont) in conjunction with Portland Parks and Rec's popular "Big Screen on the Green" program, which brings free movies to Portland's neighborhood parks. Bring a picnic supper and a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on. WV will be part of the pre-show entertainment, beginning at 7:15. The movie --- The Mask of Zorro --- will begin at dusk, around 8:45.
